I like the RX-8 a lot, as long as I don't compare it to the RX-7. And, to Mazda's credit thay have always said the 8 is not a replacement for the 7. I think in many ways the 8 is a stroke of genius. The only thing that bothers me is the demographics on the car. I'll give you an example. A couple of months ago I went to Little Rock to kill some time with friends. While in town, I saw 8's all over the place. (There's maybe 3 in Russellville) But every one was driven by a woman. Now I'm not getting fundemantal Islamic here about women driving. Most of these ladies were mature I'm guessing, late 40's on up. I'm sure Mazda looks at the demos on who's doing the buying...I don't know if what I saw in LR is indicative of a nationwide trend. If it is, I'm afraid any performance may be bred out of it over time. And that's OK if it keeps a rotary on the market and ultimately gives rise to a new 7. Whew! Finger cramp!

Since I live next to a retirement community I see alot of 70-80 year old women driving manual RX8s. It's hilarious to see.
