I have yet to do this mod myself, but I hope to do it sometime in the future. I'd say most people get there Power FC tuned by someone. Steve Kan is the guy I was looking into when I last looked into it.

Thanks for the response there Mr.President... Where would I get a hold of Steve Kan? Is he located in Arkansas? I would really appreciate any guidance towards helping me with finding someone in Arkansas that would like to tackle my little situation with the Power FC Install and Tuning... I Finally was able to save for the Stand Alone and once I got it had found out Polk Performance is not where they used to be I dont even know if they are in business anymore, Heard so many good things about those guys that I wanted them to do the work for me but now am stuck with trying to either find a shop or someone who knows about this way more than I do lol...

As far as I know Steve Kan just does the fuel maps and not actual installations. Tuning is much more profitable then installing them. Are there a lot of mods to the engine or is a mostly stock 13BT? Also, is it a S4 or S5 engine? If the engine is mostly stock you could just use your 13BT's engine harness & ecu, re-pin the FB's main harness to the 13BT's ECU (you will need a plug off of the FC3S's main harness of which ever series the engine is from). The Power FC is obviously far superior to the 13BT's ECU, but the easiest way to do it would be to use a conversion harness like Banzai Racing makes. Otherwise, you will have to pull the FSM ecu pin outs for the FD, FB, whichever series FC the engine came from, & then hack up a FC main harness & a FD engine harness. A power FC on a 13BT is not the easiest task, but certainly not impossible. I would do it for you but I don't have the time. I have to hire people to work on some of my own cars in order to work on what I want to. I can give you direction and some tech support in getting installed. From there I would consult RX7Club.com for a base map, and then get Steve Kan to do your tuning. A good starting point... www.banzai-racing.com/S4_PFC_install.htmwww.banzai-racing.com/S5_PFC_install.htm

Mr.President - DriftHappy - hypothermix I want to Thank You guys... Took my car down to PRT Performance this past friday Steve & Jeff got on my car right away Steve got my stand alone installed within 3hrs they messed with the car forever because the car had many issues I wasnt aware off but they got it going tuned dynoed and I got back to LR saturday 6am... I told Steve that for now on he was going to be the first person I would contact before even trying anywhere else... When I called Banzai they couldnt even give me a time frame as to how long or even an estimate but I know how that works it is hard to give any of those since all cars are different... Steve on the other hand gave me price on tuning and more or less hrs he was going to spend on cars came to be a little more than originally quoted but the man had to do many things and spent from 12:30pm until nearly 11:45pm that same day he is a cool guy and knows his stuff gave me lots of pointers on what to get and what not... My next step will need to be a clutch possibly ACT since at last dyno pull it slipped... Just wanted to say thank you all without you guys guidance I would still be trying to find someone to do the job... Am an extreme happy camper

Oops Sorry Guys been trying to figure out what ignition to go with... BTW its an 1985 with S4 setup has GT35 Turbo and street ported on exhaust side beleive intake is left alone cant remeber Kevin built the motor for friend who was selling the car back then... The car made 290hp 222tq, Steve was wanting to get it up to 350hp but at last pull clutch slipped and he decided to call it quits in which I agreed lol... I want to use MSD but dont know which one would be best for my setup though... I want a box that can handle a 13bt with 400hp even though at 290hp it feels good but need to upgrade on ignition side - any ideas as far as ignition goes???

S4 1987 TurbII 1000cc primary DC 1600cc secondary DC GT35 Turbo HKS SSQV 3" Downpipe all the way to muffler tip by Razorback Exhaust Power FC w/Banzai 3rd gen Adapter Wires
Like I Mentioned on Post earlier Car made 290hp @ 10psi I like those numbers very comfortable with it but I know it can do better than that for sure but for now will leave it unless Kevin suggest otherwise when he gets back in town cant wait have many plans with car want respeed suspension setup for auto-x but cant find their site either am just not that lucky lol...

I'd figure the power fc should be able ignition with the stock FC coil packs. the FC coil packs are pretty stout and i thought i've heard of other cars using them in builds. For a clutch I used the XTD(Ebay) 6 Puck sprung clutch with my street ported TII.

I don't think you can go wrong with the MSD 6a. I have never ran one but several FC owners I know have ran it. As for the clutch, be sure to get a super duty pressure plate as well. I normally run ACT products. They used to call them the 2600 & 2900 but now refer to them as Xtreme & Maxx Xtreme Pressure plates. The names sound gay but their products hold really well. Just be prepared to build some muscle in your left leg. Consequently, that extra clamping force results in an increase in pedal pressure.
