Well, here she is. Quite the project but I eagerly await the challenge. She's a '93 BB Touring w/ Tan Leather. It was hit on the passenger's front & driver's front side. Apparently the previous owner hit a stump, spun, then hit a ditch. Shane knows more about it, I think he witnessed the wreck. Unfortunetly, it has been sitting about 6 years since the accident and has acquired a nice infestation of rats. So, all the wiring on the front half of the car along with all of the hoses are going to have to be replaced. At least I will have the chance to build the car exactly how I want it. I've acquired new fenders, pass. headlight assembly, & headlight covers. I've also sourced a new driver's door & rocker panel, but I'll have to wait for the funds before I can pick them up. Right now the battle plan is to strip & clean the interior first. Then remove the front main & engine harnesses. I'm going to rebuild the harnesses over at a buddies house. While that is going on, I'm going to work on seating modifications, intake, possibly a fmic, while replacing the hoses, etc...

I can probably stop by next weekend with my solder gun and whip one up if you have the wire and shrink tube.

I'll have to spread them out on the garage floor and make sure to try to keep the original shape so it will still reach everything. I wish I had some new molex pins, it would make things alot easier, just to be able to cut the wire, install new pins, unwrap the harness, and swap wires. I'm going to see if I can find some.

I was just thinking that I have some random (stock) parts that I pulled off my car when I upgraded my car that you may want. Radiator, random hoses, etc. Call me if you'd like me to check out some of the parts for ya, If I still have it its yours free. Remind me also about the fuel pump relay, I need to order another one. I need to make sure I'm ordering the right part, the one I ordered when we looked it up, ended up being some random part. I just got back in from Texas, shoot me a call

Don't worry about the fuel pump relay, I decided that I am going to replace the entire front main harness with a used one. All the harness' I have found, have the relays included. The engine harness is a quick cheap fix but the front main harness will cost more in supplies to rebuild than to buy a used one with extra relays.

Shane & Trae came down this weekend to help me. We pulled the interior out to clean it. The carpet was pulled and taken to a local carwash to pressure wash it out. Got it back in the car last night. Also got the bins, seats, & door panels cleaned up. The black plastic parts all feel like they permanently have coke spilled on them. I'm going to need to paint or flock them before I put them back in. Also have the fenders, front bumper, & intercooler pulled. I hope to have the engine pulled next week or so. Right now, I am just going to focus on trimming the passenger bin and mounting my battery. Before... Carpet out... Carpet cleaned and back in...

Went and swapped the miata battery in for a new Optima Red Top, yesterday. Was going to start on the battery bracket last night but I forgot my cutoff wheel at home. I did manage to get the gauge cluster and surround pulled. I'm going to clean it all up and paint it with the door handle plastics before all the interior goes back in. Don't worry not a ricer paint job. Just a coat of Satin Black over the old deteriorating rubber coating that all the '93 models received. Got nearly all the interior cleaned up and remembered to grab my cutoff wheel this morning. Hopefully I can get most of the battery bracket finished and the bin trimmed tonight.

How was pulling the gauge cluster out? I think you should go with a nice LIME green paint on the interior. You know the color of the eclipse in FAST N FURIOUS!!

I never did see who took the pictures. The cluster was kinda hard to pull. It is really easy to break the instrument cluster "hood". One of the tabs was stuck in the dash and ended up getting snapped off. No big deal since I am painting everything though. BTW: Don't you know that yellow is the fastest color!!! I'm totally going yellow 'cause I wan't to be fast.

Looking very promising! Holler at me if you ever need some help wrenching in a pinch. Even tho I need to sell my vert to get it out the yard as it isn't even tagged anymore, I still love the rotaries!
