I want to buy an n/a 13b or 12a preferably carb'd with a matching 5 speed tranny, I can go efi but I would need a harness and ecu.
I will need a driveshaft to go with the tranny
And a complete solid rearend (brakes, hubs, ect)
My best bet would to buy a beater, let me know what you have.
My plan is to do a swap into an MG midget

I still don't have an engine source for ya, but I might have a complete car minus engine.. Plus its a GSL-SE, so it has rear disc and posi, plus the more common bolt pattern.
I have a Holley 12A intake with a 380CFM Holley. Also have a NIkki and stock intake thats been desmogged.

I have some running EFI 13b swaps but I would still fresh'n them up before installation. Your right, your best bet would be to find a running car and swap everything over. There is a running 12A Engine & Tranny for sale on Craigslist in Clarksville. He still has them in the car so you can test drive it. fortsmith.craigslist.org/pts/1018410325.htmlI was at U-Pull-It in Cabot last week and they had 2 or 3 FBs there. They all had the complete rearends under them, along with driveshafts, ready for picking. Any pre-86 RX should have a solid rear axle but only GSL's & GSL-SE's have rear disc brakes & LSDs. There was only 1 GSL up there so you might want to hurry and snatch it, if you can. Between the guy in Clarksville and the GSL in Cabot you should have your complete swap for under $500-$600. BTW: Welcome!!!

$300 for the Holley setup and I really shouldn't have offered the Nikki.. I spent a lot of time modifying that carb, so I think I'll keep it.. Sorry.. If you want my opinion, I'd run a Weber instead.. Why I'm getting rid of this lol Even the 380CFM Holley is a bit big for a stock port 12A.. Mostly though, I like the aesthetics of the Webber setup better The wrap around DCOE intake takes up less space on the side of the engine than the Holley.. I know you have space issues in that MG. The IDA intakes are even smaller.. IMO, the Webbers are easier to tune(flame away, Holley fans.. I rebuild Rochesters for fun so ) lol
