So my cars engine is in great shape...1986 n/t rebuilt. I have been thinking about putting a nos kit on it. Nothing big..somewhere around the range of 35-75 shot. What are the pro's and cons and can I really hook these systems up witouth upgrading my fuel system?

I would not do it. The nitrous will increase the internal engine heat which is a very bad thing for rotaries. If your really wanting to go faster I would seek alternative methods, weight reduction, forced induction, water injection, larger porting and supporting mods, or a good ole engine swap.

I had a 120 shot on my 12a that used to be in my blue car. I went through 80 lbs of nitrous and the motor still runs great (it in the Repu now). If you do it though, I would suggest doing methanol injection along with a "wet" nitrous kit and then tune it using a wide band.
Pro's.... -cheap -easy
Con's... -more wear and tear on the motor -runs out and have to get filled -notorious for blowing up motors if not tuned right

Nitrous Oxide is really bad for Rotary's not saying is has not been done but you engine wear is outrageously bigger when you use it!
