I have been following a thread on rx7club and had noticed this before but did not want to be the first to try. But some recently did and they work. If you've looked you know that FC short shifters range from 150-250. They have miata ones on ebay for around 50 shifted. Thats with the spacers and everything I'm about to get one and if your not sure I'll show you my install. The guy who did it said it was the best feel for shift throw he has felt. heres the link to the thread. www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?p=4467844#post4467844pic......look famliar?

I installed mine today. The bushing on the tip of the shifter had to be shaved down to fit. and the lower bushing that cam with it didn't have a notch. but i had new bushing anyway. Its almost feels cumbersome how shirt the throw is. 1 and 5 feels like half an inch apart. i can barely tell the diff in position for 1 & 3. After driving a few blocks you get used to it a little. It cut like 2 inches out of shift throw. The shift ball sits about 1/2 in higher, and throw was cut by 2 inches. side to side throw is barely there. when going through the 1,2,3,4 sequence it almost feels like up.dn.up,dn. once i get used to it, i probably won't event think about it. feels very fim though with a lot less wiggle.

I haven't got to use it that much. I'll let you know when I get to drive the car. I'm gonna install my stainless steel oil cooler lines tom. (fri 2/24). And try to fabricate some headlight brackets for my dual rounds Oo------oO. Then I have my AGX's coming monday. and if i get some more money I'm going to buy some Ground Controls with a 350 or 390Fr/250 rear spring rate setup.

I want to go with at bigger turbo eventually but I have to get the megasquirt in but right now yeh I'm happy with where its at. If I ever get a truck or something of the sort for dailly driving I'll be able to do a little more when I have money to do more. The COrksport lines I bought weren't clamped tight enough at the pressure fitting and blew off yesterday> So corksport is sending me a new upper line to replace the one that was messed up. THankfully I caught it and hopefully nothing else is damaged from it. I made a temp hose from a leaking one that leaked slower than not having one at all and drove it home and there was alot of smoke but there was oil all over everything from spraying that anything hot was going to smoke. I'm putting the shock on this weekend.

I know of a place here in H.S. that can do fittings like that.
