I added a cold air in take with a bypass filter to prevent hydro lock. I bought a kit on eBay and the painted it. I painted it textured white ut it got too ugly with grease and oil. So I bought some undercoating and sound deadener and coated it with 2 coats then coated it with some textured black metallic paint to cover the rubberized coating. The filter I am I decided to use a high flow steel mesh filter the same thats on my FC that is dual ramped some what like the apex'i filters look like internally.

I feel a little bit. the average gains i've seen have been 5-8hp. It sounds alot more agressive anyways. With the stock exhaust, you can here it over the muffler @ WOT lol. Next is proably the header or an axle back exhaust. Heres a cutaway pic of the stock axle back

The RX8 muffler is worse than that one but I would keep your car quiet unlike mine. Just steal Rachel's TRD axle-back.

There are some other setups I can do that will be quiet. I was going to build my own with a spintech, dynomax, magnaflow , or flowmaster. I want something that has the inlet and outlet on the some side. Kinda like the TRD. It just cost 550 for a trd axle back, and for that much I can get an entire exhuast setup and be broke at the same time. or this except except with just an inlet and 1 outlet not 2
