My mechanical OMP has failed and I believe it may have not been working for a while. I know for a fact it is not a vacuum issue. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do to fix it or how to eliminate it completely. Thanks.

Right now I'm running premix so its not a worry but after I rebuilt the lines they have been real pretty and clear with nothing in them. Back when I was driving my car, right before I broke the transmission, I noticed it started to rock when I was sitting at stoplights due to the vibration. Hopefully it has'nt caused much damage and I doubt it since it still runs.

if its mechanical, you can remove all the omp stuff off, and plug the omp holes in the block with bolts that fit, i forget the size/thread pattern. then get a block off plate for the omp unit itself, and run a little more premix in your gas. (i forget the ratio exactly) lots of guys do this, and i was going to before i went the v8 route.

I think I might have a vacuum problem somewhere. My FPR is not fuctioning properly. It cant be adjusted and it's vacuum source is somewhere under the manifold near my oil injectors vacuum source. I'm going to test the vac. pressure and I imagine I'm going to have to pull the upper intake manifold again.

Where are you gettting your vacuum from? The nipples from just behind the throttle body suck.

I'm using one of the nipples behind the throttle body temporarily for my wastegate and thats it. I'm using the one on the side for my pressure sensor & boost gauge. The one under the manifold for the oil injectors, and I cant even remember where for the FPR?? It looks like it is somewhere under the mani. as well.

Is 15-20hg for vacuum around idle good?? I got that from my FPR.

I'm running pre-mix. My ratio is just way off at the moment. It seems to be like a 18:1. I think it should be more like 32:1 or less should'nt it? My car is smoking like nothing I have ever seen before. Its all the 2 stroke oil. I think it is a mixture of running way too rich and an off the wall pre-mix ratio.

try a 100:1 for street engines.... You mixed it a little on the rich side.

LOL!!! I was'nt even paying attetion and just poured a ton in there. I was so overwhelmed at the fact that the OMP was'nt working after I made those darn lines for it.
