Are you making a 3" or 4" downpipe? 3.5 inch. My turbo has 3.5 inch outlet so thats what I am going with. f**king Burns Stainless wanted over 400 in just material to build it. Ace Stainless came though for right at 100 in material. I took next week off to work on... well that and move. If I get off my lazy ass and complete moviing this weekend it should be 5 days of non stop wrenching. I am going to have to find out why my Haltech isn't producing spark if I have to call Austrialia at midnight. I ordered two more DEFI gauges today. Its coming along, I would be happy if it started next week.

You and your Defi gauges!!! I'm stuck with my cheap Autometers. I think one of your gauges is equal to the price of 3 of mine. Anyways, I need to come up with the materials to make my downpipe. We dont have the TIG welder wired up at the moment either so if I can ever get the supplies, I'm going to have to try to bribe someone with sandwiches or something. My downpipe is going to be 3", I already have the V-band and I figured up I can get the supplies for $120. I just have to get over being broke.
BTW: Your car is looking good!!!

I would suggest calling Ace. I am more than pleased with those guys after the quote that burns gave. I would have probably went with 3inch if my turbo didn't have 3.5 inch outlet. Hell thats what I was planning to use from the start. Once you drive a car with DEFI gagues you got have you own... at least thats what happened to me. I have 5 of them I might start on the body work next week too. I have quite a bit of little dings to take care of and if I would ever get my hood, that would be nice too. I need to order a Cusco front STB soon too. Might have lower arm bar thown in also. I hope to come across a S5 13BT core so I can start building next motor also.

Newest updates!!!!!!!! Well foward progress once more. UPS man delievered this nice part from Mazdatrix Believe it or not, it was fairly hard to come by and this was the only color they had. It seems that everyone is waiting a shipment right now of them. This will help with installation of my Oil Temp and Oil Pressure gagues. I talked Don Polk, into porting my thottle body. It was bead blasted afterwords to give that odd texture. Finally mounted my DEFI link controller. I kept debating about where to put and how to do it. Just decided to keep it simple and double side velcro it in place. I have to really go through everything and clean up the wiring in the next few weeks and also decide what deck is going to go in the car. I have two more DEFI gagues on order, if they ever show up they will go nicely with the other 3. Pics really don't do them justice. Tomorrow I am going to try to finish up some little things I have been putting off and the big thing, figure out why my Haltech has no spark.

OMG that TB looks good!!! I got mega lazy and just used a excremente load of JB Weld and a dremel tool. I did'nt go crazy like that!!

Small Update: Spent the day mounting the radiator, cleaning up some wiring (thanks Damion), putting my manfolds back on once more, and of course fixing fuel leaks. All the intercooler piping and intake manifolds have Techline thermalcoatings applied to them. Making my parts car motor really stand out of place, I really should have spray painted the biznitch black when it was out in back in Feb. I am not pulling the motor out till it blows (even if I have to keep adding oil to the motor because the oil pan is leaking) I have block of plate coming for the BAC valve also, so that will clean things up little bit. I think I am gonig to go a little more aggressive with hiding wires when I blow this motor up. You can see here my nice new Pineapple Racing alternator bracket, I am waiting for alternator spacer from Mazdatrix to finish it up. Put water in the radiator today (planing to switch to mix after I know all the leaks are fixed) and what to you now, water pissing out of the weap hole in the water pump just by filling the system. Off to buy a water pump this weekend too. So far for the cheap and easy project. More and more I look at my engine bay makes me sick. I will have to spend a good day cleaning up wiring and changing things around.

Have you figured out the problem with your Haltech? Yup, I have spark now. Something isn't right with the fuel system. I think its the pump. I am leaving for two weeks next week. So when I get back I am going to spend some time trying to finish every thing up. I really want to start putting everything together to start building my next engine.

Well... Still haven't touched my car, I have been stuck up in Indy for last week and will be till the end of this week. I plan to work on this weekend though. I am going to finish up the rest of my electrical wiring, install the boost controller, and the rest of my DEFI gauges just came in. The way my hella lights mount pretty much stuck balls, I am going to ask Don or Braden to fab up LESS gay brackets.
I plan to start the body work week after next... I hope. Waiting on my coilovers also.

Well its update... or un-update if you say. I have always been worried about this motor (Plans was to push and blow it up) and I was hoping I could get this compression up on it. I knew it had stuck seals, which is very common with rotary engines if you let them sit without injecting some oil in the chambers and what not, and sometimes you get them to break free. Here is what rear rotor look like. Remember all seals are spring loaded. Here is front stationary gear with the front main bearing. The bearing wear was probably caused by wrong flywheel, not matching the rotors and counterweight (Yes the previous owner of the car this motor came out of is idiot.) Some various other shots. I have a blown 13B-REW sitting around also and had planed it use it as my core to build for my next motor. Lot of things I like a bit better about the 13B-REW, mainly intake manifold, higher compression rotors, and lighter rotors. I plan to half-bridge the motor. that should help spool the T72 and higher compression rotors will help. I have the rest of the week off, which I plan to spend cleaning/inspecting parts and cleaning up that mess of engine bay I have. Wish me luck. BTW I might have a few 13BT parts that I can' t carry over to the 13B-BREW for sale shortly.
